Review: This was my families first time at Disney and we wanted to see everything. We heard about the Primetime cafe from the people at the front desk of our hotel. I really didn't know what to expect from it when I first got there. It looked exactly like my grandmothers house with all of the old 50's style furniture. We only waited for about 15 mins and got seated in the back by the kitchen. Our waiter "Uncle Tim" was awesome. He didn't miss a beat and I was his little princess. The food was excellent even with the prices. I would recommend getting one dessert and sharing because you do not want the "airplane" or "chu-chu" to feed it to you!

Review: All I can say is that the restaurant is what it is:  A place where you can become part of the show while enjoying a home-style meal.  My family and I have gone several times and always enjoy it.  If you are not a good sport, it is not the place for you.  (But then again, maybe WDW is not the place for you either).

Review: You have to know what to expect when entering this restaurant in order to enjoy it, and we were ready.  We were there for lunch.  Seated within 5 minutes of our priority seating time at a very busy time of the day.  The food averaged about $15 a person, which really is very reasonable for a sit down meal.  The food tasted very "homemade" and was a welcome change from park cheeseburgers and chicken fingers.  The one mistake we made was that each of us ordered a dessert when one dessert would have been enough for all seven of us.   We definitely intend on returning.

Review: We had an excellent experience here. We did do PS's & had to wait about 15 minutes tops. We were going to be seated in the back (yuck) but nicely asked the hostess for a kitchen seat & our request was granted! The table seating in the "kitchen's" are great. Our waitress was very good, the atmosphere was awesome & the food was delicious. My husband ordered the "chef's special" & was he pleased with the meal. He said it was one of his best & we were there for 9 days, so we ate out a lot & at some nice places in WDW, so I think this says a lot. Pooh Bear actually walked through the place & sat in my seat & tried to eat my meal, my kids loved that. If your a retro/50's fan......do make a stop here. You will NOT be disappointed! Great time, good memories.

Review:  I enjoyed our time here. We had a party of 5, so we called to make a reservation about the middle of the day. Our reservation wasn't until about 8:15 though. I would recommend making a reservation much earlier in the morning if you plan on going there that night. Once we got there though, we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, which was very nice. Everyone ended up ordering the meatloaf. I split a meal w/ my mom and my 2 friends split a meal as well. My dad ended up ordering a whole meal. They even plated them all separately without us asking. The meatloaf was good, as were the potatoes, but I did not care for the green beans. It would have been nice if they offered more veggie selections. Uncle Time got on my case about eating the green beans a couple times, but i ate them all so that he wouldn't "airplane" feed them to me like he did to the lady at the table next to us. The 5 of us split the smore, and it was large enough for everyone to have a fair amount. It was also possibly the best part of the food. The waiter in the next room made someone sing "I'm a Little Teapot" and made someone else stick his nose up against the wall. That was entertaining, but I was glad it wasn't me. Overall it was a very good experience. The food is fairly expensive, but splitting a meal between 2 people was enough food. I would recommend it to anyone looking to have an exciting dining experience.

Review:  Our family has visited WDW six years running.  We LOVE the dining experience of Disney's restaurants.  I had read reviews for the 50's Prime Time and being a retro buff truly looked forward to the 50's ma experience.  Even with priority seating, we still waited (standing much of the time for lack of a seat) for 1 1/2 hours before we were seated.  When we were seated, we were a little shocked at the prices (and we are used to Disney prices) our waitress offered no comic relief, basically left our food at the table and didn't much return.  Our children were looking forward to seeing their parents forced to finish their green beans, even sitting anxiously and purposely with their elbows on  the table etc., but nothing happened!  We did initiate our own fun with "our cousins" at the table next to us.  Our experience lacked in food quality, service and most importantly for Disney...atmosphere.  We were all very very disappointed.  Because we waited 1 1/2 hours to be seated here ,not to mention the wait for our food, we of course we not hungry when it came time for our scheduled dinner at Hollywood & Vine.  This was a waste of our day from lunch until the start of fantasmic (which is always worth the trip).

Review:  Excellent Maui Wowie and milk shakes; meatloaf and turkey sandwiches were average.  But a terrific, fun waiter made the experience worthwhile.

Review:  Highly entertaining as long as you have a sense of humor. My cousin was "caught" with her elbows on the table 3X and had to sing "I'm a Little Tea Pot" in the middle of the restaurant. Our waiter whose name was "Topher" made our experience there wonderful. Food was OK, (not all mom's are great cooks)! The S'mores dessert is very sweet. A fun time was had by all.

Review:  My husband, 3 children and I had lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe and none of us enjoyed it.  We did not like being yelled at constantly about table manners and finishing our meals. (It got old fast).  We didn't think the food was very good and we thought it was expensive.  It was also very cramped inside.

Review:  This is a great restaurant for anyone!  It is very unique, in that the servers treat you like children, telling you to "keep your elbows off the table" and "finish your vegetables."  The food is fabulous, although I stuck to appetizers and children's meals the two times I ate there.  Be prepared to be engaged and perhaps embarrassed as well by the servers.  It is a load of fun and I can't wait to go back!  Appropriate for virtually anyone, unless you want a romantic dining experience, in which case I would not recommend this place.

Review:  This place is so much fun!  I have had lunch there 3 times in my nine times to Disney!  The people and food are great!  This is a great place to go if you want to have some fun!  I went there with a group of 20 and one person got spoon feed and I had to stand in the corner!  It is just a great place!

Review:  This was an awesome experience.  If you're not in the mood, don't go....you won't enjoy it and you might bring others around you down!

But it's all in fun and if you're the fun-loving type that enjoys a healthy portion of laughter with your meal....join right in..it's great.  The servers work very hard at providing a humorous environment and it keeps you entertained while eating...at your expense or your "cousin's" across the room.

By the way...the server's provide excellent service and the food is "just like Mom used to make".

Review:  This could have been a great location.  The meal started off badly though. You are made to set the table to start with.  After a long day at the park, the last thing on my mind was doing something I can do at home for free.  The meal was average. I was told by our waitress "ma" to eat all my green beans or I would be in trouble.  Not really being in the mood I deposited the beans in a napkin, excused myself to the restroom and threw them out.  When I got back "ma" had seen me get rid of my beans, and then spoon fed me a bowl of new beans with a airplane spoon. I know that it was funny to the people in my group, and the people around us laughed as well, but these off beat shenanigans were un-welcome.  I never had the opportunity to decline.  I know the actors were just doing there job, but I'll avoid this restaurant when I return. If you do not want to be made part of the show, and are just looking for a place to unwind, avoid the 50's cafe.

"Highly recommend visiting the 50s Prime Time Cafe. Food was awesome and it makes you feel like you traveled back in time. My parents were reminiscing and we saw some items that my grandmother still use at her house. Make reservations early!!!" - Penny
