The Animal Kingdom Lodge is located on 33 acres of Savannah. There are three different Savannahs -- Sunset, Arusha, and Uzima -- each with a different variety of animals. The Savannahs are lit by artificial moonlight each night.
Standard rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge come with a choice of two queen-size beds, one queen-sized bed and a bunk bed, or one king-size bed. The rooms also include a table and two chairs, a ceiling fan, bathroom, data port, balcony, in-room safe, voice mail, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, television, and coffeemaker (upon request). Refrigerators are available upon request for no extra fee. Standard rooms are 344 square feet and are located on floors 1-4.
Deluxe rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge come with two queen-size beds, one queen-sized bed, a bunk bed and a day bed, or one king-size bed, a day bed. The rooms also include a table and two chairs, a ceiling fan, bathroom, data port, balcony, in-room safe, voice mail, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, television, refrigerator (upon request), and coffeemaker (upon request). Deluxe Rooms are 381 square feet and located on floors 5-6.
Concierge rooms come with curbside check-in, robes, turndown service and access to the lounge (with Continental breakfast, snacks, wine, desserts, and beverages).
Savannah view rooms are the only ones that
have a view of the animals from the room. There are places in the hotel
where visitors can view the animals. If you are an animal lover, the extra
$70 a night may be worth the price. However, if you are on a budget,
consider a standard or pool view and take advantage of the animal viewing places
that are available to everyone.
Transportation to the five on-property golf courses is complementary. The Animal Kingdom Lodge has the Zahanati Fitness Center, arcade, playground, and a variety of animal programs.
The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a large pool with a slide, a kiddie pool, and two spas. There are places by the pool where visitors can view the Savannah.
Outdoor African Storytelling Nightly.
Guests staying on the concierge level can
take advantage of the Sunrise Safari. For $55.00, guests will be
taken on a special Kilimanjaro Safari. The safari makes multiple stops
providing an excellent opportunities for up-close pictures of the animals.
The safari concludes at the Pizzafari for a breakfast buffet. The tour
is on Thursdays and Sundays at 7:00am.
Baby-Sitting is available every night
for children ages 4-12 from 4:30pm to 12:00am at
Simba's Cubhouse. The price is $11.25
an hour per child which includes a dinner. Call (407) 938-3000

Room rates start at $240 for a standard room
during value season but can reach as high as $405 during the Christmas season.
