About
Located in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, Fantasmic stars a wide array of Disney characters from Jafar to Mickey Mouse. A visual spectacle, Fantasmic consists of live actors, fireworks, music, and water effects. While all of the effects are impressive and the show is entertaining, it lacks an element that would effectively tie everything together. It feels too much like a parade of everyone's favorite characters rather than a show with any real story or substance. This is definitely worth checking out, as it makes for a great time. But the constant crowds and long waits make it hard to justify repeat visits.
Tips and Trivia
- Disney recommends getting to the ampitheatre at least a half-hour ahead of the showtime.
- Hungry? Concessions such as nachos and popcorn are sold inside the ampitheatre.

"The Fantasmic show is a must. Very cool effects and imagery. If you are going to see it, make sure you get there at least 1 to 1.5 hours ahead because the place gets packed. The day that I went, they had to close the entrances because there was no place left anywhere for you to seat or stand. Don’t seat all the way in the front if you don’t want to get wet because the water effects, you might get splashed." - Gilberto
