About

In this futuristic space travel simulator, riders find out what it might be like to travel to Mars in the not so distant future. Each passenger acts as a different role (Engineer, Navigator, Pilot, and Commander) and experiences the rush of strong G-Forces and weightlessness. These simulated effects are achieved by a spinning centrifuge. For aspiring astronauts who suffer from motion sickness or do not like spinning, there's a milder "Green Team" version of this ride that features some movement but no strong spinning.

As a Guide2WDW user put it: "I went to Epcot with my family recently and we all loved Mission: Space. It is a simulation of a rocket launch and flying into space. The line moves fast and is in a air conditioned room. Before you ride Mission: Space, you have a choice of the orange or green ride. Orange is more intense than green but my 7 year old brother still loved it. I STRONGLY encourage to go on Mission: Space if you are at Epcot."
