Review: There should be a "0" on this scale of One to Five. My
family had eaten at the San Angel Inn 12 years and absolutely loved it,
so when my daughter and I visited Disney this past week for her
graduation gift, we were looking forward to eating there once again! We
attempted to eat at the San Angel Inn this past Friday night, but they
were booked solid, so we made a reservation
for Saturday night, but did not return. On Friday night, we ate at their
Cantina de San Angel restaurant, then stayed to watch the fireworks from
their patio. At 3:00 am my daughter was violently vomiting, along with
diarrhea. Her entire next day was spent mostly in bed, which shot a
good bit of our vacation and 5-day pass, as she wasn't feeling that
great the following day either. We attempted to visit MGM that following
day, but she ended up vomiting once again, so we had to head back to the
hotel for the rest of the evening. At the Cantina de San Angel, she ate
their Ensalada Mexicana (taco salad) with grilled chicken. I ate the
Plato Combo that had a chicken taco, beef burrito, and quesadilla. We're
thinking she had food poisoning from possibly the chicken in the salad.
I had just a bit of chicken in my taco, and had major diarrhea the next
morning with stomach cramps, but no vomiting. I am not sure if our
chicken came from the same batch, as her chicken was grilled, and I am
not sure if mine was. Needless to say, we were very disappointed, as we
had so much planned for those two days we missed out on. We will never
dine at their counter service again. Thank you for allowing me to vent
my frustrations! This was supposed to have been a most memorable
mother/daughter vacation that often happens once in a lifetime!

Review: For a counter service restaurant, Cantina de San Angel is
very good. My husband, our three children and myself have eaten there many
times while in Epcot. The value is great, as the portions are very
generous. We usually buy several different entrees and have a "buffet".
(The nachos and churros are our particular favorites.) The view by the
lake is incredible! If you can secure a seat prior to Illuminations, the
meal is almost priceless!

Review: My husband and I ordered a taco/burrito meal for our
three children to share for a lunch snack because they didn't eat the fish
n' chips we ordered earlier. They ate very well and there was plenty for
them in one $7 meal. The food was a little better than taco bell and the
lakeside view from the tables was beautiful, but the eating area was dirty
and overrun by begging birds, my children enjoyed watching them but the
bird poo was a little too much! A woman left her table and the birds dived
into her food and ruined it. Do not leave your food alone, even to go to
the condiment counter! It's a good place to eat if you carry your own
disinfectant table wipes (like we do) and don't mind the birds
