Review: We stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach
Resort May 27 through June 2 and had a great
stay. Mousekeeping was great and the resort was very clean. The
atmosphere was relaxing and very Caribbean! We normally stay at the
Wilderness Lodge, but wanted a change of scenery. We did miss the Lodge
and its added amenities. But the Caribbean beach resort was very
accommodating. I was a bit anxious of the moderate resorts, but we only
sleep, shower and shave in the hotels, so we did fine. I bring my own
toiletries and robes. I look forwarded to staying here again. We had a
rental car and used it every day. We are not fond of waiting on Disney
transportation and standing up on buses. However, our teenage son did
enjoy the freedom of the Disney transportation.

Review: The Caribbean Beach Resort is tops!!! This was our
first stay at a Disney Property and our first Christmas at Disney, despite
being a Florida resident, and I must say that everything at the Caribbean
Beach Resort exceeded our expectations.
Martinique was our home at the CBR and I concur with the other reviews
which list this as the best location. Martinique is very close to Port
Royale, to the Custom House, and has a bus stop in front of Bldg 23, just
a few steps from bldg 24, where we stayed.
The food was great, a tad pricey, yet reasonable for a Florida tourist
town. I have to say, however, that the most of what I liked of staying at
a Disney property was the ability to charge ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING at the
parks, to our room; your room key is also your charge card and this is
great for accountability purposes; only one bill!!! The parks also
offered resort delivery, or package pick up of everything we purchased, so
we didn't even have to worry about carrying anything.
Transportation was great and plentiful. The most we ever waited for a bus
was 10 minutes, and most of the times the bus was waiting for us at the
parks. The staff at the resort was most delightful to deal with;
wonderful service with a smile (an often rare commodity in Florida) is
their motto, and they do it well.
The only thing at the resort, for which I didn't care much, was that
despite the buildings only being two stories, there is no elevator and the
stairs are scarce (when traveling with a small child this can be a
challenge), but we quickly got over this minor hump.
Despite the cold (high 30's(F) is cold for Florida) and the wet weather,
we had the most wonderful Christmas. The magic is truly bountiful at the
Caribbean Beach Resort. We're already planning our next Christmas at
Disney and the CBR.

Review: We just got back from an EXCELLENT 6 night stay at
the Caribbean Beach. I'm sure my wife will pipe in on this board and rave
about this place, but I would stay here again. Friendly staff, clean
rooms, and great amenities for a decent price.
We stayed at 5 Trinidad North which some
people bag on a being the worst of the buildings, but we did not
find it as such. I can't say enough about my
stay here and will for sure be back soon!

Review: This was our first time staying on the Disney
property. We will never stay off site again! We loved CBR. The room was
good sized and always clean when we got back from the parks. The
refillable mugs worked well for my family. We got our moneys worth with
them. The food was always good, maybe a little expensive but not bad!
The resort was beautiful. We were there in June and it was HOT and busy!
Use the fast pass whenever you can, drink lots of H2O, and take a break
from the parks to go back for a nap or swim in the middle of the day!
E-ride night was also a good deal.
"My family stayed at
the Caribbean Resort and absolutely loved it. We stayed at the Martinique
Island. I would recommend this island because it is very
close to Port Royale which is the building that serves food and
drinks and also has a shop. The check-in was
extremely fast - not at all like I read on
line. The service was great and very helpful.
Caribbean Resort meals were very good as well. No complaints at
all. The choices were pasta, chicken,
hamburgers, salads, deli sandwiches and kid's
selections. We could all choose what we wanted
to eat and it was very quick. It was more
expensive to purchase snacks than to purchase meals. It
was also less expensive to purchase food items at the Calypso Store
that was in Port Royale." -

Review: The Caribbean Beach was absolutely beautiful and
wonderful value. The rooms were spacious, clean
and we had a view of the water. The Port Royale
had a nice gift shop area and every morning at 7 AM they had fresh baked
bagels and danish available. There are white sand beaches, nice
courtyards - I could go on and on. The bus
system runs frequently to Downtown
Disney/Pleasure Island and all the theme parks. Drivers always polite and
helpful. The purpose of my trip was running the 10th Annual Disney
Marathon. Disney did a fantastic job and
the event was tremendous - 22,000 runners
(16,000 for full and 6,000 for 1/2 marathon). There are laundry rooms, ice
machines. Fantastic resort. Beautiful.

Review: I stayed in this hotel in august 2000 with my mum
and brother. we shared a room all together and there was loads of space,
the people that worked in the hotel were very chatty and when we first
arrived were very welcoming. we found out all we needed to know about
the parks from the guy that showed us where our room was and
carried our luggage. we were there for 2 weeks and it was the best
holiday I have ever had in my whole life. the hotel made a HUGE
difference as we spent most mornings around the pool and went to the
parks in the afternoons. the pool is really cool! there is a slide and
loads of other kids. loads of people speak English so it was easy to
make friends. also the breakfasts and the rest of the food was really
good too. There is a really really nice cookie shop and a good souvenir
shop where they sell nice clothes and really pretty jewelry. I loved it
so much, and I wish that I could go again. when I am older I will definitely
take my family to Disney and I will definitely stay in that hotel! have
a nice day!

Review: My family has stayed at this
resort two times. We are going back again in March and guess what
...we will be staying at this resort again. Very clean, bus
service is great, employees are all pleasant and will to help with what
ever our needs were. Only thing that could make this resort better if
you could stay there cheaper!

Review: It was my first trip to America,
and decided to stay at the Caribbean beach, wow what a fantastic
holiday. This hotel is the best I have ever been to. It really puts the English
to shame, and you Americans call it an adequate hotel. That would be 5
star over here. The resort is gorgeous, the room was lovely and
cool, and the situation of the site was suburb. We were unfortunately
hit by a tornado (very scary to a naive English guy) but the staff
really calmed our fears, will definitely come here again. This
year we are going to Dixie Landings, hopefully it's as great as Caribbean.

Review: Stayed at CB in April 2000.
2 adults. Terrific place for adults to stay. We were right by a
pool, laundry room, very near the bus stop, and just a short walk
from Port Royal. We stayed in building 24 in Martinique. It
was quiet, and the room was nice. There is a good food court at
Port Royal, the gift shop had lots of items, and the live music was
great each night. Watch the fireworks from the beach outside of
Port Royal. Good value for the money!

Review: The Caribbean Beach Resort is a great place to stay. The rooms
are a nice size, and are always cleaned perfectly. The food court is excellent,
and provides a variety of foods. The refillable mugs are also a nice touch.
There is also so much to do. The motor boats and water sprites are also a great
thing to do after a long day at the parks. Each island has its own pool, and the
water slide at the main one is awesome. At night, if you sit in the right place
you can see the fireworks from MGM and Epcot. All in all, the Caribbean Beach
Resort is a great place to stay!

Review: My family (mom, aunt and brother) stayed at the Caribbean Beach
Resort in June of 1999.
I can only say good things about this resort. I can't imagine staying anywhere
else! The food is
really yummy (fast food for when you're on the run, a nice restaurant for
relaxed dining). The Old Port
Royale (where the food is located) is centrally located and is a nice building.
Outside at night they have
calypso music playing and kids can go and dance the night away! :) You can watch
the fireworks from Epcot while relaxing on a hammock on the beach. We stayed in
the Martinique which is close to the center. The other villages are Jamaica,
Aruba, Trinidad North and Trinidad South. They each have a bus stop so you don't
have to worry about walking far. They are each painted different colors to be
distinguished. The CBR has refillable mugs with Flounder and Sebastian from the
Little Mermaid on them. What's good about the food is that you are allowed to
take it back to your room and eat there. Which brings me to the rooms. They are
very very nice for Moderate Resorts. Very clean, as well. They aren't noisy, we
at least couldn't hear much of anything! The maids are very nice and polite and
we made friends with ours if we were around when she was cleaning. There is
always at least one pool that is really quiet (there's 6 all together, one main
one and 5 smaller ones) so you can walk to different ones. The main one is quite
something, including a water slide and a fort. Overall, the Caribbean Beach
Resort is defiantly my favorite resort and I would recommend it to anyone.

Review: I agree with the glowing reviews of the Caribbean.
However, I would warn anyone getting one of the powerboats to test it out before
accepting it. I got stuck with a dud and plodded around the lake at about
1 mph for 45 minutes while my brother whizzed by me, laughing all the while.

Review: My family (2 adults, 1 Child) have stayed on Disney property
several times. We've stayed on All-Star properties and this time the
Caribbean beach resort. This hotel is fantastic... there is so much to do.
We made it a point every day to come back for a swim in the pool and it has a
great waterslide for children and adults too! There is a Jacuzzi as well
for those tired feet. At night they have a calypso band playing outside
poolside and you really get the feeling you are in an island somewhere. The
rooms are a nice size and there are beaches with hammocks and lounge chairs for
just a nice quiet evening after
a busy day. If you are in the right building you can even see the fireworks from
Epcot at night from the beach. The food court is excellent as well, there
are many choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. We are already
planning our next trip and we will once again be staying at the Caribbean Beach
Resort!!!!!!
