Review: This was our first trip to WDW (Nov
2005). 2 adults and 3 kids had a fantastic stay in the hotel. The food
was good and the staff was outstanding. Walking to the bus stop through
the bayou was one of my favorite things. We are visiting again in Nov
2006 and I cant wait to return. Well worth the price.

Review: We stayed here the week of
Thanksgiving 2005. The grounds were beautiful and our room was
neat and clean. However, perhaps due to the crowds we didn't get
the type of room requested and our lone call to maintenance took 24
hours to be resolved. We probably will try the sister resort -
French Quarter on our next stay as it is smaller but just as lovely.

Review: We stayed at POR in November
'04 and had a most wonderful time. We had a second floor room in building
28 @ Alligator Bayou. Up there we felt like being in a tree house. The
grounds were lovely, the pools were great, so were the Boatwright's
Restaurant and the Lounge with Bob the Entertainer.
Fulton's General Store had the most attentive staff, they were even
ready to open the store early for us on our last morning, so that we could
shop before having to leave for the airport.
The Cast Members, every one of them, were absolutely fantastic.
The only thing we did not like was the
food court. We went there once and that was enough. No biggy since there
was a great sit down restaurant right next door.
We would highly recommend this place. It is a good deal, believe
me, we travel a lot.

Review: I love Port Orleans Riverside.
We've been down to Disney at least 8 times in the past 10 years and always
stay there. The atmosphere is great, the food is terrific. It's just a
beautiful place.

Review: We stayed in PO
Riverside in October of 2003, the grounds were absolutely beautiful as
well as the pools. The rooms on the other hand were not like the other
Disney rooms we have stayed in on our two time a year trips. The entire 9
days we were there we had no iron or hair dryer in the room, the day we
were checking out they had them outside of every room to install that day.
I was very upset! The rooms were not cleaned very well, dusty, rugs not
vacuumed. The bathroom was poorly lit and musty
smelling. I would not stay here again. For the money Caribbean Beach is so
much nicer.

Review: Our family stayed at the
Port Orleans Riverside (March 2004) and we loved our entire stay there!
Everything was very nice and very clean. Everyone was friendly. We were
able to check into our room right away and that was nice, since we were
early. We couldn't have been more pleased with the service and
surroundings of the Port Orleans. I was impressed by the landscaping and
the theme. My only desire is to go back again and just spend more time at
the resort so we can fish and take a ride in a horse and carriage! Our
kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and the playground looked wonderful but
we didn't have time to use it! It was nice to have the boat option to
take us to Downtown Disney, and we used the Disney bus system every day.
The buses arrived in a timely manner and our waits were anywhere from 1
minute to 10. The buses are the way to go! We would recommend the Port
Orleans highly. The rooms were exactly what we anticipated, and the beds
were great to sleep on! We have had our share of bad motel beds, so we
were very pleased to have good beds! The hotel staff even positioned our
children's stuffed animals in cute welcoming ways on the beds every day
they cleaned which was fun for the kids to find! We were very pleased
that the general store and food court area/arcade were open so late each
night so we could enjoy them as well. Thanks to Disney for a great time!

Review: This was the best hotel
I have been to in all the times I have been to Disney. It took a short
time to check-in. The staff was nice, and helpful. The pools, and
Jacuzzi was great. They were heated so even when i was there in winter
they were warm. It was great. I went to the restaurants and they had
great food, and it didn't take all that much time for them to bring me my
food :) Well I would definitely recommend this hotel or resort to anyone
that would go to Disney. :) GO HERE!!!!

Review: I did NOT have a good stay at Port Orleans.
First off, for the price you pay for the room,
hair dryers, irons, mini fridges, and coffee makers should
already be in the rooms. I stayed outside the park once before and
paid only $32 a night and all that stuff was
already in the room. Here they make you ask for
it and then give you a real hassle about getting it. The rooms
are very small and dark. The TV was the smallest I have ever seen
in a hotel room. Check-in took FOREVER and I
found most of the staff rude and not very
helpful. Also, for most of the parks, the Port Orleans bus stop is
all the way on the end, meaning you have to do a lot of extra
walking when entering and leaving the parks. If
this is what it's like staying inside the park,
I'll never do it again. I'll stay outside the park next time.

Review: This was the first time we stayed on Disney
property. There are 5 people
in my family, so we had to stay at a moderate resort, and booked
Port Orleans Riverside, they were offering a
discount on the internet. The room was a nice
size and we enjoyed the theme. We were not a the main hotel but
in one of the buildings. It was quiet and the pool was nearby. We
really enjoyed the
room and the scenery. The only bad thing I can say is that I
called for a coffee pot & coffee for the morning. The coffee
tasted like hot water and I was charged for the
pot and the coffee (although it was not
mentioned to me when I called). The
transportation was great that we didn't have to drive from the park to
our hotel at the end of the night. The buses we needed came very
frequently, even at the end of the night during a rush. I just
wanted to add that we walked onto every ride at
Epcot & Magic Kingdom during our stay. It
was a great trip.

Review: Stayed 15 nights - 8 in a Mansion and 7 in a Bayou
building - thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We liked the mansion
furnishings better, but the bayou building was more convenient to the
food court and bus stops. Housekeeping was excellent, the food
court and Boatwright's Restaurant are excellent, and Fulton's store was
handy (too handy!) for lots of stuff! The property is absolutely
beautiful! Will definitely stay there again!

Review: We loved Port Orleans Riverside! The property
and landscaping is breathtaking, the rooms are lovely, and the beds are VERY
comfortable. The general store, restaurant and food court were great (excellent
pizza). But most important is the staff at Port Orleans is outstanding!
Everyone was pleasant, friendly, funny, and extremely accommodating. We'd
stay there again without hesitation.

Review: Excellent Resort . We had a hard time leaving it
everyday to go to the
parks . I could spend a week just lounging around the resort . We especially
enjoyed the quiet pools for a little more privacy . We don't have one
complaint about it . Can't wait to go back .

Review: Dixie Landings is only one of
few hotels on Disney property that will accommodate 5 people
comfortably. We requested a room that had a "trundle"
bed that accommodates most children. These rooms were also the
rooms that were closest to the bus station and lobby/restaurant areas,
too. This hotel encompasses a very large area, so being close to
the restaurant area and bus station is a plus. This hotel is a
great value as far as the rates, also.

stayed at when we went to WDW. It was beautiful. The bus stop was right

Staying on property is the best way to go!!!! We wanted to stay in

When we went to check in they fixed it with no problem. The
grounds are so beautiful. This is a very nice hotel.

Review: The
atmosphere was wonderful. The help was very nice and went out of
their way when we needed something. The room was kept very
clean. The restaurants located on the property where fairly well
priced and the food was very good. We took the Disney buses and
got to our destination within 20 minutes every time. I would stay
here again and again.

Review: My wife & I just came back from spending a week at the
Dixie Landings Resort for our 16th anniversary. We had been to WDW before
with our kids and stayed at the All Star Music. We found the atmosphere at
Dixie to be very relaxing. Loved watching the wildlife (ducks, rabbits,
squirrels, etc.), and the quiet. We used the bus transportation, and found
it very convenient and also relaxing (not having to follow maps, park, etc.).
Dixie is a very nice place to just "be". Long walks, boat rides,
bike rides, sitting on a bench, or in a gazebo. It is amazing that with
over 2000 guest rooms that you never feel crowded or rushed. I guess it is
a tribute to the design and layout of the resort. We loved staying at
Dixie Landings and plan on going again (maybe next time we will bring the kids).

Review: Every time my family goes to Disney World, we like to try
different resort hotels. The second time we went as a family we decided to stay
in Dixie Landings (Alligator Bayou). What a difference from All-Star
Music! The whole experience staying at Dixie Landings was magical. We
brought along my 4 year old niece, and of course came the toys, stuffed animals,
etc. Well we were surprised one evening upon coming back to the room to
find that the maid had taken one of my nieces stuffed animals (which I might add
looked like Meiko from "Pocahontas") and her blanket and made it look
as if Meiko was asleep in a bed. The look on my niece's face was
unforgettable. Everyday we would come back to the hotel to see what
imaginative thing the maid had done for my niece. Just that alone
made the trip worth while, to know that my niece felt extra special every
afternoon when we would come back to the hotel. I would absolutely
recommend Dixie Landings for anyone.

Review: The hotel and grounds were beautiful and convenient. There was only
one issue : it was my 40th birthday and my family informed the hotel but they
never acknowledged it ... When I stayed at the sister hotel for my parents anniversary
they received a signed autographed photo of Mickey and Minnie under their door.
That was excellent P.R.....
Additional Comments --
"We stayed at Port Orleans -
Riverside. To me, this resort is great value for the money. The decor is very
nice for a moderate resort. The food court is large and the food at Boatwright`s
was very good. The banana stuffed french toast is superb! It was also nice to be
able to take a boat to get to Downtown Disney instead of the usual buses, as a
change of pace. I must say though that bus service was excellent; on only one
occasion did we wait more than five minutes for a bus to any of the parks
(though it was about 50/50 whether or not the four of us would get a seat). The
bus rides were quite short in any case." - Stan
