Review: My family and I have stayed at this resort twice, the first time,
June 2006, in Sugar Loaf, what a wonderful experience. We made reservations to
stay in Sugar Loaf the second time, Dec 2007. They must have been short on
rooms, no matter, we were upgraded to the Main Bldg at no extra cost. The
concierge staff in both buildings were extremely friendly and helpful. On our
second trip my 9 year old son bought a ceramic parrot at Epcot, we decided to
have it sent back to our room via Disney's courier service. We received it the
next day and even though it was wrapped really well, the bird had broken in
half. We notified the concierge desk right away, went to the Magic Kingdom for a
couple of hours and when we got back to our room, there was a new parrot waiting
for us! We can't wait to go back again!

Review: Our visit to this lovely hotel was clouded by the theft of my
diamond ring from my personal belongings in my hotel room. WDW
Security showed little interest in pursuing an investigation. I got the Orange
County Sheriff's Dept involved and the detective on the case has been most
conscientious ... without much help from WDW Security. Another similar incident
happened in the hotel around the same time... stolen money and jewelry. There
are many employees who have access to the hotel rooms, so beware and be careful!

Review: Recently I wrote a bad review on Old Key West.
However, we just returned from WDW for Mother's Day. The Grand Floridian
is just that - "grand." The decorations, food, cast members and
rooms are all first-rate. We were extremely pleased to find that we had a
room with a view of the Magic Kingdom. I'm not sure if it was because I
wrote a letter to WDW that we had the view. We sure did appreciate, so
much so I wrote a thank you note to WDW. I would say that I've been to WDW
at least 50 times in my life. However, this has been the best trip
ever; even though we didn't go on as many rides. We enjoyed the people
around us. The cast members that made it such a magical trip and our
hotel. We are seasonal pass holders and we plan on returning to WDW in
late August, October and Early December.

Review: My sister and I are retired and we love staying a Deluxe
Concierge room in the Main Building where the staff waits on you hand and foot.
The deluxe concierge room is larger than the regular room and has a wet bar. In
the mornings the staff prepares a breakfast buffet table and in the afternoon
they serve tea and snacks. In the evening the refreshment includes wine and
cheese trays. In the afternoon my sister and I like to sit on the fourth floor
balcony and watch the Grand Floridian Band serenade the
lobby. I especially love the thought that when I return to my room, late at
night to hit the sack, I will find
where the staff has left me a nightly surprise such as: chocolate tuxedoed
strawberries in a glass slipper
or a 3" solid chocolate Mickey. One night the chef drew a sketch (in
chocolate) of the Grand Floridian on a oval mirror. In fact it is so much fun
staying at the Floridian that my sister and I have a hard time breaking away
from the hotel to visit the kingdoms. One final suggestion - if you want to see
the Magic Kingdom but want to stay in the main building, I suggest that you
request a second floor room overlooking the marina. Here's to caviar wishes and
champagne dreams and the next visit we have at our favorite hotel.

Review: The Grand Floridian is GREAT!! The
first year we went which was 8-98 while checking in the cast member gave us
pamphlets and info on Disney World. My mother opens it up and says how
cute Mickey was. The cast member tells us to hold on, she gets on the
phone and within seconds she comes back and upgrades us to the lagoon view
looking right at the Castle at NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!!! She couldn't believe
how much we loved MICKEY! Also 2 nights before we left after coming back
from the parks all day we enter our room to find a Chocolate Mickey about 7
inches high with Strawberries dipped in Chocolate all around it. We saved
the Mickey and ate the Strawberries. The people go out of there way when
you stay here. This is the only resort we will stay at. It's the
best!!!
