Review: We have stayed at the Beach Club twice. Once in the hotel
and once in the villas. Both are superb. The hotel room we had was more
than spacious. Two queen beds and a day bed. We actually had an entry hall area
too. When we became DVC members, we stayed in the villas. Superb again. We love
the fact that the parents have a separate bedroom and the 3 kids fit comfortably
in the "living room". The full kitchen is a blessing. With kids in their teenage
years and having been to Disney a few times, no one is in a rush in the morning.
We have breakfast in the room (convenient & money saving). We also have plenty
of snacks for when we return for some downtime. This is our favorite resort. The
pool is the best I have ever seen. You really feel like you are in the tropics.
We also like the fact that it is adjacent to Epcot, the Boardwalk and a short
boat ride to MGM. The kids like the game room and Beaches and Cream. Since the
Cape May Cafe is character breakfast($$$), you can take a short walk over to the
Yacht Club Galley for a buffet breakfast. It is easy access to the bike rentals
and the sea racer boats. There is plenty to do at the resort so you don't always
have to be at a park. I highly recommend it.

Review: Folks, we just returned from a stay at WDW.
I had requested to stay in a Beach Club Villa- close to either an
elevator or transportation - due to my feet/knee problems. The wonderful folks
at Disney gave us room 252. The farthest villa away from anything. Josh - the
manager mentioned that he would change the villa the next day- but we refused.
My point here is they do not care what your needs are when you book.
As Josh said on the phone to me:" You paid for a villa and that's what we
provided". Gee thanks Josh. So it was the manner that I was treated - and the
idea that they'll take your money, offer no guarantees on location, not really
act on your requests, and then talk with a lawyerly
invocation. Again, they did offer to move us the next day- but it wasn't going
to be that much better and I did not want the hassles of overseeing a move- that
Josh offered to do.
And join the DVC? Not on your life. The busses were crowded and late 25% of the
time. My vacation time is money and to wait for a bus- one time as much as 45
minutes at Typhoon lagoon- was too much. And then stand most of the time??? When
you're on your feet literally all day??
Now for the good stuff. There's tons of that. The WDW is a special place. It was
very crowded but things went smoothly at the park level. We did the meal plan- 1
snack, 1 counter and 1 sit down. It worked very well for us. We ate in Japan,
China, Raglan Road, Cape May seafood buffet, Yacht Club Steakhouse, Hoop-Dee-Doo
Review. Food was good, service was fine.
Getting to the parks early - leaving for a late
afternoon nap and then back out was a strategy we enjoyed.
We hit every park at least 2x, saw the illuminations
at EPCOT, and had a blast at Typhoon Lagoon. From the BCV you can easily walk to
EPCOT, boat to MGM, bus to everywhere else. Downtown Disney was great- but
disappointed that Captain Jacks had changed so much. But our dinner there was
good, though the waitress was a bit strange. I am happy to answer an questions
you may have. Thanks .

Review: This was our first time to Disney
World. We are long time Disneyland vacationers, but
decided to try Disney World this year.
We had heard good things about the Beach Club
(especially the pool) and booked reservations for 5/13/05-5/20/05.
Arrived around 11am, and check in was prompt (i.e. no lines). Had
reserved a standard room with standard view. Upon check-in, the person at the
counter upgraded us to concierge level for FREE!
What a difference the Concierge level makes. The $$$ we saved on not having to
eat out for breakfast every morning was huge!! Plus,
coming back in the afternoon to be able to get a nice snack, drink, etc...made
"decompressing" from a long, hot day at the park a real luxury.
The grounds around the Beach Club were very nice, and the lazy-river type
pool was a huge success with the kids. The sandy beach area was perfect for our
18mo old to play in the sand yet still be able to walk around in the water.
Our room was standard with 2 double beds, was nicely decorated, and was
very clean. Check out was a snap as we utilized
the Disney fast express service to Orlando airport.
The close proximity to Epcot (which turned out to be our favorite park)
was great. Only a 10min walk and you are in Epcot. A 5 min walk and you were
over at the Boardwalk. Again, another nice
selection of eats, and such. We might or might
not stay at the Beach Club again as it is pretty pricey
. . especially if you
reserve the Concierge level. If you can afford
it, by all means do. Otherwise, like us, you might want to consider staying at a
less expensive resort WITH Concierge Level service.

Review: My only advice is, save your money and stay at the
Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Polynesian. We spent a great amount of money to stay
at a resort with a spectacular pool ...unfortunately, you can only enjoy this
pool during the day. You cannot go for a swim at night at Stormalong Bay. One of
the pleasures of staying at a Disney resort is to catch some fireworks in the
evening and then go back to your hotel for a dip in the pool. Also, our room was
very dirty. The daybed had urine stains on it. Even the person who came in to
change the bed said it was "unacceptable". The only good thing about this resort
is the walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk, but for the amount of money it costs to
stay there, I would rather be at a hotel on the monorail.

Review: I liked my stay at the Beach Club Resort. It was nice
having the restaurant and the ice cream store in the
hotel. But I didn't like the fact that our room
smelled of mildew. We made a complaint to the front office and they were so
sincere about the whole thing. The maid cleaned our
bathroom and gave us extra soaps, lotion,
a toothbrush, and more tooth paste. We
appreciate everything they
did for us.

Review: We stayed at the Beach Club July 11-16th 2004. The
grounds are BEAUTIFUL and the pool was a wonderful
playground for our kids. It is one of the best pools
we have ever had at any resort! The soothing sand
bottom in the pool was a nice surprise and the shipwreck waterslide was
wonderful. The rooms were the perfect size to accommodate our family of
5 and we never heard any other guests from our room the entire week. We
think the extra fee for waterview room is well worth it. From our fourth
floor room we stood on the balcony and had a gorgeous view of the
courtyard leading to the water. A treat to wake up to each morning. At
night, the Boardwalk lights bounced across the water and were inviting
us to come join in the fun! You cannot beat the location. We opted for
the few minute walk to Epcot which has an additional timesaving bonus
once you arrive since the International Gateway entrance has no lines.
We found the ferry took a lot longer than walking to Epcot, so I highly
recommend the short walk. (We also walked to the Boardwalk often, just a
few short minutes, for meals and treats.) The atmosphere, pool and
location make this a great choice for a wonderful Disney experience.
However, a word of caution for birthdays at the Beach Club---the staff
"forgot" to deliver my sons birthday balloons and picture on his special
day and were not very apologetic. They said it happens all the time. We
were disappointed with this; but he did receive his birthday greeting
the next morning. Also, like all other Disney resorts, you can purchase
the $10 refillable mugs for use during your stay. We opted not to buy
them at the Beach Club because its too time consuming to stand in line
at Beaches and Cream to get the filled. At other resorts, we found that
there are self-serve lines or multiple locations to refill your mugs
which make them more of a bargain. However, we loved this hotel and will
stay here again and again!

Review: Since I paid appreciably more money for our room at
this hotel than I paid at the Caribbean Beach or All Star Sports, I was
expecting an appreciably better hotel. It is a very nice hotel, but I wouldn't
say it's worth the high price. One could argue however, that its proximity to
EPCOT and MGM IS worth the high price. For example, we visited 3 parks on two of
the four days, and we visited EPCOT twice in one day. The International Gateway
at EPCOT is a short walk from the hotel and MGM is a comfortable ferry ride
away. Unfortunately you must take the bus to the Magic Kingdom,
Animal Kingdom and water parks, and Disney has obviously cut costs here--
a 40 minute wait was common. The ease of walking to EPCOT, then catching the
monorail to the MK, and returning to EPCOT the same way, would make me
reconsider the expense of the Beach Club. One more thing-- we're big pool fans and that was another reason we chose the
Beach Club. Again, the pool is very nice, but not spectacular, like I was
expecting.

Review: Disney standards have slipped! Our room was not
thoroughly cleaned before we got in. The day bed for the fifth person had
soiled sheets but was made up as if it was clean. The balcony had nay
shifting tiles and there was a glass left behind full of some beverage and
cigarette butts. The toilet overflowed the first time we used it and we
had to have maintenance up to clean up. They left an industrial dryer on
the floor that they said they would pick up "in a couple of hours".
They didn't return for it all week. But the thing didn't work anyway.
After a day, the carpet that was wet started to smell of mildew but we were
reluctant to be moved because we had a connecting room to my in-laws.
All-in-all it was not a great showing for such a costly spot in the World but
the location is the best there is and we paid a fair amount below rack rate.

Review: I've stayed in several
Disney hotels, but I definitely feel it is the
best! The grounds are beautiful, the restaurants are great, and
the pool
area is FABULOUS (the best outside of the water parks). The staff
was very
helpful and attentive. Another big bonus is the location - walk to
Epcot and the Boardwalk, take the launch to MGM studios and a short bus ride
to
the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney. We already
have reservations to stay here again!

Review: Overall the food was good,
the service was great, and the atmosphere was stupendous. The only
problem that my family had was the food. We couldn't get into any
restaurants without reservations a week in advance and the was no food court. TIP(
these cheap food courts are very tasty and very quick.) But some things
we did like were the excellent pool, the stunning rooms, and the fact
that we were so close to the parks. But my personal favorite part
was the pool and atmosphere. I would stay there again just because of
the gigantic pool. It is a private pool which only Disney members
staying at the Beach Club and Yacht Club can go to. I don't want
to give away any secrets of this excellent pool, but if you have any
questions, please ask! email me at
