| GUIDE TO WALT DISNEY WORLD |

"For my family, there is nowhere in Walt Disney World like the
Polynesian
Resort. For starters, every single restaurant is superb, from the
family
dining in O'Hana's to the snack bar "Captain Cook's".
Even my daughter
dubbed the chicken nuggets in their sit down restaurant, the Kona Cafe,
the "Best I ever ate". And that is from a kid who has eaten
a lot of chicken
nuggets in her 11 years! There is a character breakfast in
O'Hana's which is
also delicious. Besides the great food, the atmosphere is
phenomenal. The Cast Members are warm and welcoming and got us all
into the Hawaiian spirit. We were saying "aloha" and
"mahalo" (thank you) to all we met there, just like the CM's.
The landscaping is beautiful, and looks just like the "real"
Hawaii, with plenty of Hibiscus and other tropical plants. The
main pool has a slide shaped like a volcano, and there is a quiet pool
also. A great bonus to being at the Poly is the convenience.
This is a monorail resort, so you can pretty much roll out of bed and be
in the Magic Kingdom. There are also water taxis to the Magic
Kingdom, as well as a ferry. The transportation and ticket center
is next to the Polynesian, which means the Epcot monorail is right there
too. (Buses will take you to the other parks). Let me see,
what did I miss? Oh yes the rooms are super-nice too, nice size
with double sinks in most and of course decorated in a Hawaiian motif.
Most second and third floor rooms have balconies. There are rooms
available, for an additional fee, with Concierge service and/or Magic
Kingdom view. Even if you don't have the MK view rooms you can
stroll out to the Polynesian beach and see the fireworks over the
castle. It is a wonderful vantage point, imho better than from
inside the MK. For the romantics out there, the Poly has relaxing
torch-lit paths to stroll through in the evening. The main
building, the Great Ceremonial House, is awesome, featuring huge plants,
parrots, and a waterfall. I have stayed at all levels of resorts at WDW,
from the Grand Floridian to Ft. Wilderness, I guess you can tell I love
the Polynesian, and my kids and I would not stay anywhere else when we
go to Walt Disney World."

loved. She wants to stay there again. She loved the atmosphere especially the
pool with the volcano slide. Went to the Polynesian luau. Good food and great
entertainment but would recommend the Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue first. Great
food and wonderful performers and entertainment. Suggestion ~ If you are
staying at the Polynesian, watch the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks from the
resort's beach. It was a great view (we were very comfortable in the lounge
chairs) and we avoided the crowds." - Penny
