Review: This was my third trip to Epcot, and although Epcot is my least favorite park, this is our family's favorite restaurant.  Every time we attend Epcot we have lunch at Restaurant Marrakesh.

Review: As someone who absolutely adores Moroccan food, I was thrilled that such a good Moroccan restaurant exists ANYWHERE in the southern US.

This restaurant is generally not crowded, I assume because most people aren't as familiar with the type of food offered here as at the other countries in the world showcase. There are some wonderful dishes to be had if you're willing to experiment.

The Chicken Bastilla is something I've never encountered in any other type of cuisine. Basically, its almonds, chicken, and scrambled eggs in a pastry crust and covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar.  It SOUNDS weird but its very very good.

Moroccan foods are on the mild side. Olive oil, tomatoes, and eggplant are used in many of the dishes. If you are a fan of Lamb, this is the only restaurant in Disney that I know of that has it on its menu all the time.

The prices are very acceptable for a Disney restaurant, and they're even cheaper than many of the other Moroccan restaurants I've been to elsewhere (perhaps owing to the Florida location). For around $20 you can get a full meal, with appetizer, entree and sides, dessert and tea.

Oh, and there's belly dancers that come out and dance for you, then at your table, then drag you out onto the floor (if you're seated around the floor).  I have fun watching the expressions on the men's faces at the gyrations of the belly dancer. :)

All in all, its worth checking out

Other comments:

"Restaurant Marrakesh is one of our favorite restaurants in Disneyworld, as we did not expect good Moroccan food (or just good food!) in theme parks. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. We shared two combination plates with our two girls, 9 and 6, and they loved the pita and humus, and even wolfed down the salads. On the way to the restaurant, we passed by a wine kiosk in the France section, and bought two glasses of Bordeaux - a perfect accompaniment with our food." - Clarence

"The Moroccan Restaurant was great for lunch. The food was good but time your visit
to see the Mandolin player and the Belly Dancer at the same time. This was the
total Moroccan experience." - Brian
