Review: We stayed at this hotel after trying out other Disney Hotels and it was the BEST!  We visit Florida yearly and July 05 was our first time staying at the Swan.  Your body sinks into the beds, they are so comfortable.  The service is awesome.  The character breakfast was amazing; they spent a lot of time with each child throughout your breakfast experience.  The Dolphin is walking distance away and has awesome restaurants, also.  The resort has something for toddlers, teenagers, and adults.  My two year old enjoyed playing in the sand and in the water while watching a Disney film while my teen enjoyed playing basketball and swimming in a different pool.  The only negative was that we were charged for items from the 'bar' in the room when we had not touched it.  I will request to have a room without this on the next visit.

Review: We stayed at the Swan using the teacher discount.  The room had two queen beds and we were upgraded to a balcony room without charge, which was a very nice perk.  The room is very similar to a Disney moderate room.  Having one sink inside and one outside the bathroom was a big plus for the four of us.  The downside were the beds.  They were extremely uncomfortable and we didn't have one good night's sleep in six nights.  And the walk to the Dolphin for laundry and Tubbi's was a little long and inconvenient.  However, the grounds, pool, beach, etc. are just lovely, and the boats to Epcot and MGM can't be beat.  But I did feel that the "Disney magic" was missing possibly because of the corporate-type atmosphere.

Review: Good location and nice boat transportation to Epcot and MGM.  The room was clean. The toilet only operated if you held the handle down through the whole flushing process, and the sink and shower water pressure and temperature fluctuated.

The main problem at this hotel was the attitude of the employees.  At best, we were treated with formal politeness. At worst, we were treated with haughtiness and even rudeness--especially from those in the luggage loading and valet parking area--the first people you see upon arrival!  Enforcing their services for tips and extra charges appeared to be their main objective, and respect for guests and their comfort was non-existent. This crew intended to enforce their services on all guests, or inconvenience them greatly for non-compliance.

I wonder if these employees attended any training on how to treat or speak to people correctly.  Shame on the Westin and on Disney for not overseeing what is going on at this hotel.  The contrast of this crew to the rest of the Disney employees was enormous and shockingly bad.  Someone at Disney needs to check in on this 'resort'.
